SHA Hosts 1st Annual Community Health Fair

The Sylacauga Housing Authority held its first annual Community Health Fair on October 19th. The health fair was a one-stop destination for health information. SHA partnered with local healthcare providers and businesses to promote their mission and services for the residents of Sylacauga and SHA. Our partners included: Coosa Valley Medical Center, Fort Williams Pharmacy, AltaPointe and Main Street Urgent Care.

Our partners brought promotional items and spoke with attendees regarding their health questions and concerns. Our health fair was organized and hosted by Shantia Duncan, an AmeriCorps VISTA and SHA’s Healthy Homes Coordinator. Duncan is eager to plan and organize the 2019 Community Health Fair.
