The public hearing on the Five-Year Agency Plan, Annual Agency Plan, and the Capital Fund Program will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 10:00AM in the Sylavon Court Training Room. All public comments will be considered for inclusion in the Plans and/or the CFP, as appropriate. The Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act of 1998 requires all Public Housing Authorities to develop a Public Housing Agency Plan, which includes both a Five-Year Plan and an Annual Plan. The purpose of these plans is to advise the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), our residents, and members of the general public of our overall mission, goals and objectives for serving the needs of low-income and very-low income families in the area. Among many other elements, the Capital Fund Program (CFP) will also be discussed.

The Five-Year Agency Plan (covering 2020-2024) and Annual Plan for 2020 are currently being developed and all relevant policies and pertinent planning materials are available for review at the Sylacauga Housing Authority Central Office located at 415 West Eighth Street, Sylacauga, AL. This information is subject to public comment during the normal business hours of the Authority; Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the exception of Fridays, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm when the agency is closed.
